Rui’s Steakhouse – 5 minute walk from the house with an excellent menu range

Restaurant Ysconderijo – down from the square in Sao Bras

Restaurant Querenca – further up in the hills and well worth the 15 minute drive for the view

The Algarve’s beaches stretch from Monte Gordo in the East along by Tavira, Faro, Quinta de Lago,
Vale de Lobo, Quarteria along to Lagos and Burgau to the West Coast.

Praia do Ancao is one of our
favourites with nice restaurants, a great boardwalk and around a 25 minute drive from the house.
Beaches on the west coast are well worth a drive with Carrapateira a favourite for surfing.

Sao Bras de Alportel (our nearest town) is often described as 20 minutes away from anything. Tavira,
Olhao, Faro, Estoi, Loule and Vilamoura are all worth a coffee, lunch or dinner and relaxed stroll
about to enjoy their different atmospheres and little bit of history. Monchique, Silves, Alte, Lagos
and Albufeira are a bit further but worth the 50 minute drive for some mountain scenery and
different landscpaes.
